Kelley Family Benefit

Pete, President of the Abington Polish Club, wants to make the next Cricket Luck of the Draw Tournament a Benefit day for the Kelley Family. Some of you may know that Rick Kelley has been hospitalized for a few weeks now; seems he had some kind of splinter lodged in his heart, which the doctors removed. He has been out of work and the Polish Club wishes to help the family.

The Luck of the Draw is draw doubles, all Cricket - best of 5 games, $10.00 entry. The date is Sunday June 22nd and we will start at 3:00pm. You do not have to be a member to play.

In addition to cooking burgers and hotdogs for participants, Pete will be raffling off 2 $100.00 gas cards, which he is donating, to raise money for the Kelley's.

Please mark your calendar and try to make this tournament. It's a great time and we'll be helping out our friends.

Great Wide Open II - Aug 1-2 in Malden, MA

Announcing the Great Wide Open II Dart Tournament!

A joint effort by the Patriot Dart League and the Commonwealth Dart League, this year's second annual Great Wide Open dart tournament will be held August 1-2, 2008 at the Malden Moose Lodge.

Unique features of this tournament include an all cricket format for men's and women's doubles events and long format 501 for all singles events.

US Open/NA Open Kudos

Congratulations are in order for our PDSL players who made the money rounds this weekend in both tournaments!

Best of luck today and throughout the weekend for our twenty-one current and former (3) PDSL players in the 2008 US Open!

That, by the way, represents 8% of the field (258) and roughly 14% of our singles league membership.

This is a £125,000 tournament with televised final sixteen matches tomorrow and the quarter-finals through the final to follow on Sunday.

Ruminations on the Team Game

Now that we have a couple of seasons under our collective belts with our new team format, it's time (for me, anyway) to sit down and contemplate the team concept and look to see if there are additional steps needed to further advance what it is we do for several months a year.

OK, dart fans, here we go with yet another scintillating season of singles play in Massachusetts and Connecticut. We have the last four playoff champions and a couple of interesting newcomers in the mix.

PDSL Performance Tools

I've added graphing capability to the PDSL Stats module so each player can view their last three seasons of play to get a visual indicator of progress. There are two distinct graphs which serve two distinct purposes.

Ten Days in January

We've got a lot going on this month as we gear up to start the Spring 2008 season. This includes the PDSL playoffs on the 19th, the team league awards night on the 22nd, at least one meeting and then the game is on!
